The remains of a 14-year-old girl were found in 20-year-old D4vd's abandoned Tesla in September 2025.
According to newly released court documents, the artist will now be investigated by a grand jury. Prosecutors claim that the artist, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, “may be involved in the death” of the 14-year-old girl, “who may have been the victim of a crime.”
D4vd's parents and brother have been called as witnesses, but they have opposed the decision and appealed. D4vd has not yet been arrested or charged, and the girl's cause of death has not been determined.
