The man, who was in his 60s, was hit by a car on Thursday. He was taken to hospital by ambulance. On Saturday, the hospital announced that the man had died from his injuries, Göteborgs-Posten reported.
The driver, a man in his mid-20s, was suspected of reckless driving and of driving under the influence of drugs after the collision.
