A group of demonstrators took to the road and hindered cyclists during Saturday's mountain stage on the second to last day of the Tour of Spain.

It was about 20 kilometers left of the over 165 kilometer long stage that TV images showed the drama when people threw themselves out onto the road and were close to hitting the cyclists.

This year's "Vuelta" has been heavily affected by protests against the Israeli team Israel Premier Tech. It is unclear whether Saturday's demonstrations were directed against the team.

On Sunday, the Tour of Spain will be concluded with the finish in Madrid.
