British cycling star Chris Froome, who has won the Tour de France four times, has been seriously injured in a crash during training.
The 40-year-old was taken to hospital by ambulance helicopter.
Chris's condition is stable and he did not suffer any serious head injury, but X-rays show a punctured lung, five broken ribs and a fracture in the back. He will be operated on this afternoon, says his team in a statement.
