Paramount Pictures is collaborating with Polish game developer CD Projekt Red on the film. Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura, who is behind the “Transformers” films, is involved.
Michał Nowakowski, CEO of the gaming company, said in a comment on X that he was happy to collaborate with Paramount, which “shares our creative ambitions for the Cyberpunk series.”
No further details about the film are available at this time.
The game had a problematic, bug-filled launch in 2020, but has since become a sales success, with more than 40 million copies sold.
Actors Keanu Reeves and Idris Elba have roles in the game. It is unknown whether either will also be involved in the film.
