We analyze what type of data may have come into the wrong hands, together with the affected actors, says Supreme Commander Michael Claesson to SVT.

As long as the opposite is not proven, he assumes that information from the leak could be used by foreign power.

There are always risks that data comes into the wrong hands. The analysis is ongoing. I can not currently see what type of data it would be, if any, and whether it is sensitive or not, says the Supreme Commander about the risks for the Defense Forces to SVT.

In total, information about 1.5 million Swedes was stolen during the cyberattack and was posted on the darknet, including information about approximately 15,000 employees in the three companies GKN Aerospace, Eltel and Caverion, who have worked close to the Defense Forces.
