Customs Conducts Major Operation in Helsingborg Without Arrests

No one has been arrested in the operation that ended at 11 o'clock.

We have conducted a house search in an apartment, says Martin Höglund, press secretary at the Customs Office.

In a picture from the operation, several armed and masked customs officials are seen, reports Helsingborgs Dagblad. The Customs Office confirms that the staff comes from the criminal department, which investigates crimes such as smuggling and illegal import of narcotics, weapons, tobacco and doping substances.

The Customs Office is otherwise taciturn about the operation and the suspicions of crime.

We cannot provide information that may affect the investigation. We understand that this is very visible, we do this in the middle of the day in a densely populated area, there are many who see this and wonder what is going on, says Martin Höglund.
