One of the basketball star's twelve three-pointers that went in was from more than half court.
He has had so many of those in recent years. As soon as he released the ball, I said "it's going in". I just felt it, says coach Steve Kerr.
The 36-year-old giant played his 1,000th NBA game, as his Golden State Warriors won 121–115 over Orlando Magic. It was the 14th time he scored 50 points or more and 56 is six points behind his personal record of 62. And it was the 26th time he made ten or more three-pointers, which is an NBA record.
I think the fans here, even Magic fans, know that they saw the best shooter ever, and one of the greatest artists ever, says Kerr.
Curry's own explanation for the scoring fest:
When you have nights like this... you're in the rhythm and flow and the ball finds you at the right moment. But you have to have the footwork, balance, self-confidence to shoot and be ready. That's what I train for and sometimes you find the flow, he says.
