The outage came after the power grid failed around 10:45 p.m. local time, UNE writes on social media.
The country's electricity grid is still heavily dependent on imported fossil fuels, but due to the US blockade, no oil is getting in. The last major delivery was a Russian tanker that the US allowed through in March, but that fuel has now run out.
