Do Kwon is suspected of, among other things, fraud, and both his home country South Korea and the USA have requested his extradition. Now, the Minister of Justice in Montenegro, Bojan Bozovic, has decided that the entrepreneur will be extradited to the USA, according to a statement on Friday.
Do Kwon has made himself known for founding the company Terraform Labs, which is behind the cryptocurrency TerraUSD. Values corresponding to approximately 450 billion kronor were wiped out when TerraUSD, together with its sister currency Luna, collapsed in the spring of 2022.
The crypto entrepreneur was arrested in Montenegro in March last year when he attempted to board a plane with false travel documents.
