Norway's crown prince couple has been sparse with comments regarding the crime suspicions against Princess Mette-Marit's son Marius.
But in the program "The Year with the Royal Family", which was published by Norwegian NRK on Christmas Day, Crown Princess Mette-Marit admits that it has been a demanding year.
It has been really tough, you can't say anything else. It has been really tough for all of us, I think, she says.
Marius Borg Høiby is Mette-Marit's son from a previous relationship. He has caused big headlines since he was arrested in August suspected of assaulting a woman he had a relationship with. Since then, the 27-year-old has been accused of several cases of violence in close relationships, as well as a number of other crimes.
