The dollar continues to take a beating in the wake of President Donald Trump's trade war. The American currency now costs only 9.68 kronor on the currency market – which means a krona gain of almost 13 percent since the turn of the year.
The exchange rate is the strongest krona notation against the dollar in three years, if one disregards the temporary low point for the American currency at 9.60 kronor per dollar on April 3 – the day after Trump's tariff shock on April 2.
The dollar is also continuing its downward trend against other major currencies, such as the euro. The exchange rate is currently just over 1.14 dollars per euro – which is the strongest euro exchange rate against the dollar since February 2022.
