The cross-country skiing World Cup will return to Ulricehamn as expected next season. The International Ski Federation (FIS) is planning competitions there on March 19–21, 2027.

FIS has approved the preliminary competition program for the upcoming season. The World Cup competitions in Ulricehamn will be the only ones on Swedish soil for cross-country skiing, as Falun will instead host the World Championships from February 22 to March 7.

Ulricehamn has previously arranged World Cup competitions in 2017, 2019 and 2021.

What also stands out in the competition calendar is that the Tour de Ski will be decided in partly new locations - and in three countries. The Tour will start in Les Rousses, France, continue in Oberstdorf, Germany, and then traditionally end in Val di Fiemme, Italy, including the climb up Alpe Cermis.
