Germany won 31–28 (17–15).
Before the semi-finals of the European Handball Championship, Dagur Sigurdsson was furious about the game schedule when they were forced to play three matches in four days.
"We played games six and seven within 22 hours. Then they put us on the bus the next morning like frozen chickens to drive us here," the national team captain said earlier this week.
After the semifinal loss, he was significantly calmer.
"Everyone is tired, the Germans are also tired after a long tournament," he told Viaplay.
In Sunday's final, Germany will face reigning world champion Denmark, who defeated Iceland 31–28.
