P4 Jönköping has revealed that 78 children were declared healthy by the now-suspended doctor between 2018 and 2022 despite having heart disease. Now DN reveals that at least a dozen other families whose children were cared for by the doctor in another region have been told that their children have serious congenital heart disease despite being healthy.
The same doctor may also have caused the death of an infant through malpractice. P4 Jönköping reports, citing sources, that the management of the children's clinic in Jönköping County kept this secret from the child's family. The family was not informed until a year later.
The managers in charge declined to be interviewed.
