Häcken have won another title, after Swedish Championship gold and cup titles in recent years on both the men's and women's sides.

But even though the European Cup title may be the biggest on paper, it is definitely not the biggest in the bank account, notes Marcus Jodin.

The criticism is entirely justified. There should be criticism, says Marcus Jodin.

But at the same time, we can't make too much of it. UEFA has been quite open about it being a test.

“Too little”

However, Häcken only received around 860,000 kronor for the final victory - which can be compared to the multi-million-dollar sums that a corresponding title on the men's side would have entailed.

UEFA has been clear that there will be money to cover the costs. But we knew about the rules of the game.

At the same time, I think we can all agree that 4–5 million to win a European Cup organized by UEFA is of course way too little.

However, he hopes there will be some money left over when everything is added up. This also means that Häcken's players can count on a small bonus for the title.

We will not go into the red. It is a bit too early to say how much of a plus it will be, but we hope that we will be able to give them a good and reasonable bonus, says Marcus Jodin.

Can get a direct seat

Perhaps the European Cup victory could also provide a million-dollar income in the long run.

With the victory, Häcken is ready for the third qualifying round for this autumn's Champions League - but can get a direct place in the group stage if the "right" team wins the tournament in the spring.

In that case, Hisingsklubben can count on at least a few million in profit.

There are pretty good chances. But otherwise it's a playoff for us with a pretty good seeding.

If we reach the group stage, it's a significantly higher amount. Last time I think we got about three million kronor after all costs.
