Criticism: Lawyers forced to undress at the detention center

The Prison and Probation Service's security routines have had disturbing consequences. This primarily affects female lawyers, reports Dagens Juridik.

According to the lawyers' testimonies, they, when the security gate's alarm has been triggered upon entry, have been forced to undress completely on their upper body, put on a morning gown, and then pass through the gate again.

Edwall Insulander is now calling for a better dialogue with the Prison and Probation Service.

We perceive that we have a good dialogue with the profession nationally. The idea is that we listen to the profession's opinions that have now been expressed and look at what we can do. This is a criticism that we take seriously, says Joakim Righammar, unit manager at the Prison and Probation Service's security department.
