The classic Swedish car racing competition STCC is putting its operations on hold, they announce in a press release.
The focus is instead on securing a new sponsor for the 2026 season.
The decision was made in collaboration with the teams and Svensk Bilsport.
"We have investigated the conditions for STCC 2025 but realized that there is not enough time to make a good 2025 worthy of a Racing-SM. Therefore, we are instead aiming for the championship to come back stronger in 2026. We need to set a strategy and a plan forward, like we did with Rally-SM", says Anna Nordkvist, CEO of Svensk Bilsport, in the press release.
STCC was founded in 1996 and is the official championship for the Swedish Championship in track racing.
