Lionel Messi and his Miami are in trouble in the MLS football playoffs. A goal in extra time meant that Atlanta won the home game 2-1 and now forces a third and decisive match next weekend.
Atlanta, which finished 34 points behind Miami in the table, is thus on its way to a major upset if they manage to win the decisive match as well. The over 68,000 spectators in Atlanta, Georgia, first saw a goal by Messi, which would have meant 2-1 for Miami, being blown off for offside. Instead, Atlanta's forward Zande Silva was able to decide the match in extra time.
The winner of the match will face either Orlando or Charlotte, where it also stands 1-1 in matches.
