For the first time in 30 years, Copenhagen has lost four games in a row in the Danish top division.
It is now clear that Sune Smith-Nielsen will be leaving his position as sporting director. The Dane stepped into the role of sporting director in 2024 - before that he was the club's talent manager.
"We have evaluated the development in detail and can conclude that the challenges are quite serious. This is not compatible with FC Copenhagen's ambitions and it requires action and change," said Henrik Møgelmose, chairman of FCK's owner Parken Sport & Entertainment, on the club's website.
Jordan Larsson and Victor Claesson play for the club - with the latter leaving for Värnamo this summer.
Copenhagen is 18 points behind league leader Aarhus.
