"In February, we can see that inflation according to the CPI was mainly affected by higher prices for electricity and food, and by restaurant visits. The price increases were offset by continued low interest costs," says Caroline Neander, price statistician at Statistics Sweden, in a press release.
Dental care and fuel prices also declined, while meat prices were a driving force behind the rise in food prices.
The decline in inflation in February is in line with the preliminary calculation from Statistics Sweden last week.
In January, inflation, the annual rate of price increase according to the CPIF measure, was 2.0 percent.
