Svea Court of Appeal upholds the verdict against two men after the murder of a 21-year-old man who was shot to death in an apartment in Södertälje one night in July last year.
Like in the district court, the two men, both 19 years old, are sentenced to prison for 13 years and ten months for aiding and abetting murder.
"The murder has had a background in a conflict between different gang constellations in Södertälje", says Court of Appeal Judge Elisabet Brunlid in a comment.
The man was sleeping over at his girlfriend's when he – and his girlfriend's dog – were shot to death in the apartment, after the shooters had entered the residence. The murder took place in front of the man's girlfriend's eyes.
A 13-year-old was deemed guilty of aiding and abetting after trial, by having taken the keys to the residence and handed them over. The two 19-year-olds who are sentenced received the keys from the boy and then saw to it that the shooters got them.
