A man who was convicted of being involved in the murder of the rapper C Gambino in Gothenburg has been released by the court of appeal.

The man was sentenced in the district court to imprisonment for twelve years and six months for aiding and abetting murder. He was released on Thursday, reports SR Ekot.

The court of appeal hearing ended on Wednesday and the prosecutor had requested that the man be sentenced for murder in the first place.

The other two men who in the district court were sentenced for aiding and abetting the murder are still in custody awaiting the court of appeal's judgment.

C Gambino was shot to death in June last year in a parking garage on Hisingen in Gothenburg.
