The Court of Appeal, like the District Court, convicts the man of aiding and abetting murder. On the other hand, the Court of Appeal does not believe that it is proven that he handled any weapon. He is therefore acquitted of serious weapons offenses.
The sentence is changed from life imprisonment to ten years in prison, says Court of Appeal Council Helena Tjörnstrand to TT.
The Court of Appeal acquits another young man who was convicted of aiding and abetting murder in the District Court. According to the Court of Appeal, it is not proven that he was aware of the murder plans against the man in his 30s.
In the District Court, a total of seven people were convicted of involvement in the murder. Two men, who shot at the man in his 30s, were sentenced to life imprisonment. Here, the Court of Appeal upholds the sentences.
The Court of Appeal also upholds the District Court's judgment regarding three people who were convicted of serious obstruction of justice.
It was in April 2024 that a man in his 30s was shot to death in the Adolfsberg district of Helsingborg.
Prosecutor Therese Umeflod has previously stated, according to SVT Helsingborg, that the man was shot to death because he had spoken to the police after being kidnapped.
