A woman in her 30s neglected her son's oral hygiene for several years, and when he finally saw a dentist, 16 of his 18 milk teeth had to be operated on. Now, the Court of Appeal is increasing the damages to the boy, writes Dagens Juridik.
The mother was sentenced to six months' imprisonment for assault and the district court decided that she should pay the son 15,000 kronor in damages.
The Court of Appeal in Lower Norrland is increasing the amount to 25,000 kronor. The boy had claimed damages of 145,600 kronor.
