Dressed up with, among other things, a wig and a face mask, the couple deceived the man in August last year, making him believe he was going to accompany them to a police station for a sobriety test. Instead, the couple put handcuffs on the man, who was taken to a construction barracks in Botkyrka, south of Stockholm. There, the man was also tied up at the feet before, among other things, being raped.

After the rape, the man was also allegedly threatened.

The raped man and the convicted woman had a relationship several years ago. According to several media outlets, the prosecutor's theory is that the assault was an act of revenge for the man allegedly raping the woman during their relationship, which the man has denied.

The victimized man is to receive damages of nearly 400,000 kronor.

The convicted married couple was also convicted of several violent crimes against each other, in addition to the gross rape and kidnapping. The woman had stabbed the man, and the man had subjected his wife to gross violation of women's integrity.
