A couple lived at twelve hotels and campsites around Sweden without paying for themselves. In Växjö it stopped when the hotel staff became suspicious, the police were called and the woman's diary was found.

During two road trips, the man and woman have managed to stay for free by saying that the bill would be put on a real estate company.

It has been surprisingly easy for the couple to carry out these frauds, said prosecutor Marcus Sjöstrand to Smålandsposten when the indictment was brought.

The police investigation has been facilitated by the woman's detailed descriptions of the trips in her diary.

”We have a mini-suite, so cozy and luxurious”, she writes about an overnight stay in Trosa. ”Completely perfect. Could stay as long as we want”.

She also describes how they seize borrowed bicycles and sell them to get cash.

In total, the couple has stayed, eaten, drunk and damaged property for approximately 79,000 kronor, according to the indictment, reports Expressen.
