Djurgården forward Arvid Costmar is suspended for two matches – and thereby misses the rest of the semifinal series in the SHL qualifier.
In yesterday's match, the 23-year-old received a match penalty after cross-checking Södertälje defenseman Olli Vainio towards the head at a 0–4 disadvantage.
He was then reported to the association's disciplinary committee, which has now delivered its verdict.
Costmar not only misses the rest of the semifinal series – which Södertälje now leads 3–2 in matches – but also has to pay 6,000 kronor in fines.
The next match in the series is played tomorrow Thursday, where Södertälje can secure a final spot in the SHL qualifier.
