The woman’s lawyer, Thomas Giuffra, said in an interview with CNN on Sunday that he had also been threatened.
"I’m not afraid of these people," Giuffra said.
According to the lawsuit the woman filed in September against seven men and Cornell University, among others, she was raped for nearly seven hours at the Chi Phi fraternity house on the campus in Ithaca, New York, in October 2024. She was also pressured to take drugs.
The assault was reported to university police in November 2024 but never led to a criminal investigation into any of the seven men named.
