Star eggs and Axfood recall organic eggs because they may contain salmonella. Earlier in the day, Änglamark eggs were recalled for the same reason.

”The producer of the eggs has during a routine check detected salmonella in the stable environment in one of the stables where the eggs have been laid. No eggs have been confirmed with infection, but as a precautionary measure, eggs from the current producer are now being recalled”, writes Stjärnägg in a press release.

Only eggs stamped with the product code 0SE828 are affected by the recall, according to Stjärnägg.

Also Axfood is recalling organic eggs, of the brand Garant, after salmonella has been detected in a stable at a producer. It concerns eggs with best before date 2025-10-24–2025-11-09, with egg code 0SE828 and where the packaging is marked with SE12 or SE28 on the lid.

Food giant Coop previously recalled Änglamark eggs in six-packs with best before date 2025-11-02, because they may contain salmonella.

The eggs can pose a health risk but when heated to 70 degrees, the salmonella bacteria die. Customers who have purchased the eggs above with the current best before date are urged to return them to Coop's stores and get their money back.
