The problems began at 2 p.m. and prevented customers from paying with a mobile phone and card in Coop stores in large parts of the country, after problems with Telia.
At 6 p.m., Coop's press service announced that payments were "returning to normal to a large extent."
It may still take some time for the entire store network to function normally, says press manager Carlos Cancino.
