According to the review, at least 17 people sentenced to community service for various sex crimes had been placed in associations with children and youth activities in the past two years.

Following the revelation, the Swedish Prison and Probation Service has reviewed all ongoing community service cases - more than a thousand - as well as the cases included in the original review. The Swedish Prison and Probation Service has also tightened its procedures to ensure that placements are appropriate.
