Convicted Prosecutor Dismissed for Sharing Confidential Information

A prosecutor who has been convicted of crimes against secrecy is dismissed from the Prosecution Authority, the State's Responsibility Board has decided, writes Dagens Juridik.

The prosecutor, who is a cousin of gang leader Ismail Abdo, has been convicted in both the district court and the court of appeal. The woman has not been suspected of having helped Abdo, but she has shared confidential information about, among other things, a murder investigation with a sibling.

She has admitted to sharing the information, but denied the crime.
