The man entered through an unlocked gate and accessed a switchboard at Hässlö waterworks on the night of January 31. There he pressed the emergency stop button and removed fuses.

This caused a stoppage at the plant. It was not until 7 a.m. the following morning that it was restarted.

The man has confessed and said his actions were a cry for help.

Correction: In a previous version, there was incorrect information about where the man had entered.
