A man with a criminal past has been employed at Kalmar District Court, reports P4 Kalmar.
The man was previously sentenced to six months in prison for weapons offenses, following a settlement in the criminal world at a gaming club. According to the court of appeal's judgment, the man had a loaded pistol.
Kalmar District Court confirms to P4 Kalmar that an internal investigation has been initiated regarding an employee and that the person is now on leave of absence.
We absolutely do not want to have people where security can be questioned, it is absolutely harmful to the confidence in Sweden's courts, says Laila Kirppu, chief judge at Kalmar District Court.
