Toyota and Nammo, two former main sponsors of the Norwegian ski jumping national team, have announced that they do not want to be seen on the team's jerseys.
The former has also chosen to terminate the cooperation agreement with immediate effect.
Just like everyone who loves Norwegian ski jumping, we are shocked and disappointed about what has emerged. We are sorry that this affects the athletes, but considering the situation, we cannot remain as a sponsor, says Toyota Norway's information chief Espen Olsen to VG.
The news comes after the scandal that was uncovered during the World Championship. Several of the skiers' jerseys were manipulated with reinforced thread in the seams, and it is also being investigated whether the jerseys were affected in other ways.
After the revelation, several skiers were disqualified in the World Championship, and both athletes and coaches have been banned.
Earlier, the law firm Help had withdrawn from its cooperation agreement with the national team.
