The yellow warning for torrential rain on Sunday covers an area from Halmstad in the west, across Småland, and up to Kalmar and Öland. The warning is in effect from 1 p.m. on the mainland and 3 p.m. on Öland.
A yellow warning for rain is also in place for Monday in southeastern Götaland and on Öland. The rain is expected to start on Sunday afternoon and then continue through the evening and night, and until morning or late morning on Monday.
SMHI warns that roads and underpasses, as well as basements and stormwater systems, may flood.
Heavy rain also hit parts of Sweden on Saturday, affecting Östergötland in particular. In Norrköping, several buildings were flooded.
