A downed overhead contact line outside Borlänge is causing problems for train traffic. Trains are not expected to run as usual until lunchtime on Thursday.

The problems began on Wednesday afternoon when a truck tore down the power line, local media reports.

This led to a halt in train traffic between Borlänge and Säter. The stoppage affects traffic between Stockholm and Falun, among other things.

"We have eight trains that have been affected today (Wednesday) for SJ. Two are cancelled and six are going another way," says Ronny Hörstrand at SJ's press office, to TT.

Also on Thursday, SJ has two canceled departures and six trains are rerouted.
