They were down 0–7 with five minutes left in the game. Then Rasmus Andersson stepped forward and scored his first goal for his new club, Vegas.

Ottawa absolutely crushed visiting Vegas in last night's NHL game, with a final score of 7–1.

Olympic hopeful Rasmus Andersson was recently traded to Vegas after many seasons in Calgary. Last night he played his second game for his new club - and provided the team from Nevada with a consolation goal.

Another Swede was also on the scoresheet. Ottawa's Fabian Zetterlund scored the opening goal at 09:25 into the first period.

Ottawa goalie Linus Ullmark took a break from hockey during December and January. He returned last night as a backup to Dane Mads Søgaard, according to nhl.com. However, the Swede did not play in the game.
