Swedish Championship gold medal coach Mak Lind is leaving Swedish women's team Häcken. The club states that they have reached an agreement with another football club regarding a transfer.

It has been rumored for a long time that Mak Lind will leave Hisingslaget and on Thursday it was confirmed.

"We have created something unique here and I am just grateful," Mak Lind tells the club's website.

Lind took over as coach after Robert Vilahamn left in the summer of 2023 for English Tottenham. Two and a half years later, he coached Häcken to the Swedish Championship gold medal.

"I couldn't have left without achieving the goal that was set: to win this Swedish Championship gold. And somewhere it feels like we were meant to do it this season, after building it up over several years," says Lind.

It is not yet official which club Mak Lind will coach in the future, but according to information from Göteborgs-Posten and Aftonbladet, it will be North Carolina in the American women's league NWSL.
