The Italian attacking star Federico Chiesa is ready for Liverpool.
The 26-year-old Chiesa, who has made 51 international appearances for Italy, will be new Liverpool coach Arne Slot's second new acquisition.
"I'm so happy to be a Liverpool player. When Liverpool called and asked if I wanted to come to the club, I said yes immediately", he says to the club's website.
The transfer has been in the works for a while, but was officially announced on Thursday.
Chiesa comes from Juventus, where he has spent his last four seasons.
The length of the contract with Liverpool has not been communicated, and according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, the English giant club is paying the equivalent of 170 million kronor for the Italian.
Liverpool has previously recruited Georgian goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili, but he will remain on loan at Valencia for this season.
