Confidence in the future is strengthening somewhat in the retail trade in durable goods, such as furniture and consumer electronics, while the grocery trade and wholesale trade are declining.
At the same time, there are small signs that household consumption is slowly recovering. But after several tough years, it will take time before this is seriously felt in stores, Svensk Handel writes in a press release.
The future indicator for the retail trade in durable goods rose by 0.5 points, while the future indicator for the grocery trade fell by 0.9 points. For the wholesale trade, the indicator fell by 1.4 points.
