The recordings are from 1965, before David Bowie broke through with "Space Oddity" in 1969, The Guardian reports.
The album, “David Bowie: The Shel Talmy recordings,” contains several previously unreleased songs described as “blues-influenced and slightly psychedelic pop rock.” On some of the songs, he is accompanied by Jimmy Page, who was then a studio guitarist.
The album will be released on September 18.
