Minister of Finance Elisabeth Svantesson (The Moderate Party) appointed the commission in 2023. On Wednesday, it will submit its final report, and in DN a range of proposals are presented.
Among other things, they propose stricter requirements and controls to counteract crime within the welfare system, increased mobility between companies and academia, and an expanded electricity system with government support where the market is not sufficient.
AI is pointed out as a productivity enhancer and the state should facilitate its development.
"The state income tax should be reduced to improve incentives for education and work, as well as make our country more attractive to highly qualified labor," writes representatives of the commission.
They also want to see, among other things, more flexible rent setting, the abolition of the rot deduction, the reform of the law on public procurement, an increase in gasoline and diesel taxes, and that Sweden's climate goals are harmonized with the EU's. Furthermore, a range of reforms in the public sector and healthcare are proposed.
