Jhon Arias' start was eventful. A yellow card in the 12th minute - which was then followed by the opening goal two minutes later.
Colombia's - and Bayern Munich's - Luis Diaz made it 2-0 after 56 minutes, but had his goal ruled out for offside.
Colombia became the last team in the World Cup to reach the round of 16, and will face Switzerland there. The match will be played in Vancouver, Canada.
