Colombia controlled the game and managed to hold an early 1-0 lead throughout the match. Their effective defence prevented Ghana from having a single shot on goal throughout the match.
Jhon Arias's start was eventful. He received a yellow card in the 12th minute, then scored the opening goal two minutes later.
Colombia's - and Bayern Munich's - Luis Diaz made it 2-0 after 56 minutes, but his goal was ruled out for offside.
"I had chances to score. But the confidence I want is not quite at 100 percent yet," he says after the victory.

Colombia became the last team in the World Cup to reach the round of 16, where it will face Switzerland. The match will be played in Vancouver, Canada.
