Unpleasant scenes unfolded in Serie A football on Sunday, when Fiorentina's forward Moise Kean collapsed on the pitch and had to be taken to hospital. Now comes reassuring news about the 24-year-old.

Kean has been discharged from the hospital.

"Medical and diagnostic tests yielded all negative results," writes Fiorentina.

It was after a duel with Verona players Pawel Dawidowicz and Diego Coppola that Kean clutched his face and then lay down on the pitch.

The game was paused and Kean was examined. Then he continued playing with a bandage on his head – before he collapsed.

He was carried off the pitch on a stretcher.

It was the second time this season that a player in Fiorentina had collapsed on the pitch. In the meeting with Inter in December, Edoardo Bove collapsed after suffering a cardiac arrest. Bove has since undergone a successful operation.
