It was in the end of the match against Mjällby that Colin Rösler lost his composure. He retaliated against Mjällby's Alexander Johansson, who came in late in a tackle situation. Colin Rösler's actions resulted in a red card.
He was therefore automatically suspended in Malmö's match against Gais. But now the disciplinary board has extended the punishment to also include suspension in Malmö's match against Norrköping this coming Saturday.
The disciplinary board writes:
“The board notes that the incident was preceded by a provocation and decides, after a comprehensive assessment, on a suspension period corresponding to one match in addition to the automatic match.”
The suspension does not apply to Tuesday's Champions League qualifying match when Malmö FF meets Iberia 1999, from Georgia, since it is an international match.
Colin Rösler's next Allsvenskan match will be against Öster on 19 July.
