The southern parts of Sweden have summer temperatures on Tuesday, while up north it has already started to turn cold. While southern Sweden is basking in 25 degrees and sunshine, it's already snowing in the north, and the cold is spreading.
On Wednesday and Thursday it will be very much cooler across the country, says Gustav Åström.
On Wednesday and Thursday, the temperature is expected to fall by around 5 degrees on average. Rain is expected in large parts of the country. In northern parts of Värmland and northwestern Dalarna, there may be wet snow.
There is a widespread rain area with local snowfall if you are in higher elevations, even in inland areas of Götaland.
The precipitation is expected to continue over the weekend, but the temperature may rise slightly already on Friday.
It's a bit weak and unstable weather. It looks like the old low-pressure system is weakening.
Those who want to enjoy summer temperatures will have to take advantage of Tuesday, as it may take a while before it returns.
There isn't much warmth during the coming week beyond what we have today, says SMHI's meteorologist Gustav Åström.
