A cold spring combined with economic uncertainty, affects the state pharmacy's result. The operating profit decreased from 210 million kronor the same period the previous year to 163 million kronor at the same time as the operating margin fell to 2.4 percent (3.3 percent the same period the previous year).
"During the quarter, Apoteket reports a lower result compared to the previous year. This can be attributed to a lower demand in several product categories due to the cold spring season in combination with significant fluctuations in the Swedish economy", Apoteket writes in the interim report.
Apoteket notes at the same time that the current market unrest simultaneously leaves marks on the consumers.
