I don't know what to say. My first win against a top ten player. And in this arena with this crowd. I gave it my all and in the end I won, which is completely incredible, says Boisson.

Boisson is currently 361st in the world and has been as high as 152nd.

Pegula took the first set (6–3), but Boisson won the second (6–4).

The third and decisive set was even – at 4–4 it took over eleven minutes before Boisson could break to 5–4.

After a total of over 2.5 hours of play, Boisson served to 6–4 in the third set, and a win with 2–1 in sets.

I hope to go all the way and win, says Boisson.

World number two advances

Second-seeded Coco Gauff is through to her fifth consecutive quarterfinal.

The 21-year-old won against Jekaterina Alexandrova in two straight sets in the fourth round.

Gauff made a quick start to the match and quickly went up to 4–0 in the first set.

Then Alexandrova began to get into the match. The last two games were not as dominant for Gauff, but she won both and took the first set 6–0 in 29 minutes.

It turned out to be a match with two faces – the second set was a much more even one.

At 5–5, Gauff shifted gears and was finally able to win the second set 7–5.

I think I played well throughout the match, says the American, despite the contrasting match images.

"It's torture"

In parallel, 18-year-old super talent Mirra Andrejeva also advanced to the quarterfinal.

The young Russian won against Daria Kasatkina in two sets (6–3, 7–5).

I'm so, so happy that I won. I hate playing against her (Kasatkina). We've trained together and even then it's torture to meet her, admits Andrejeva after advancing.

I'm psyched to play the quarterfinal.
